Protect the Birds and Bays of the Laguna Madre from Poorly Planned Energy Projects

Wetlands critical to the health of the Texas Gulf coast gem, the Laguna Madre, are threatened by proposals for two wind farms.  In addition, the wind farms would be located in a major migratory bird corridor, with millions of birds moving through and residing in this area.  According to the Fish and Wildlife Service and other bird experts, the location of these farms could lead to an avian disaster.

We need the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to step in and ask tough questions before these projects are constructed.  Please take a moment to send the letter below to Senators Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn and the local representative, Congressman Solomon Ortiz, urging them to weigh in with the Corps.

Please take a moment to add your specific concerns or connection to the Texas Gulf Coast to the first line of the letter.  Your personal touch will make it far more effective.
