Save Our Cypress Day of Action- Saturday, November 17th

Cypress mulch destroys the Gulf. Thanks for joining in the action to protect cypress forests!

On November 17th, join a chorus thoughout the country that is calling on Lowe's, Home Depot, and Wal-Mart to stop selling unsustainable cypress mulch. Cypress forests provide important habitat for wildlife, promote healthy water quality, and provide critical storm and flood protection for the Gulf region. Turning them into cypress mulch is like shredding the Constitution to make post-it notes. November 17th is an International Day of Action with various organizations confronting the abuses of big box retailers. You, the GRN and the Save Our Cypress Coalition are adding an incredibly important message of coastal wetland sustainability. In the Gulf, protecting our wetlands is protecting ourselves.
